She is a first-generation American citizen; her father, born in Bombay (Mumbai), India, and her mother in Letchworth, England, both immigrated to America in the early 60's. They instilled their love of all things California, especially the ocean in their children by teaching them how to swim and skin dive.

Fiona has worked both sides of the camera in film and television, along with her own written, produced and directed films together with her own production company.

Fiona and Rip Roarer Productions feels it's a privilege (and also very personal) to be able tell a story so that others may enjoy it.

"There's Gotta Be Something More," is a "slice of life" feature which touches upon a 20th century woman with a 21st century predicament. The film deals with a lady who has to reinvent her existence. Recently widowed, she has to contend with a dwindling income and a lack of understanding/support from close family members. She is in dire need of extra income to make ends meet; so she sets out to find a job and finds it extremely difficult, as her age and lack of experience are taken into consideration at every turn. Then something totally unexpected happens on her quest; which brings to light that perhaps the world isn't as rotten as she thought.

On the Edge of Reality" is a story of a physical therapist who overcomes addiction (self-medicating himself with a vapid supply of unused pills left by his senior homebound, attention-starved patients). This divorced, relatively "good-guy" can't seem to see past his nose a lot of the time, and actually starts to see the ghost of his ex-wife popping in and out of his bathroom mirror. Clueless, freaked out and thinking he's the next to die, he helplessly watches as his patients drop off one at a time on a daily basis. He starts to find the strange light he has always been lacking and a new gusto for life, with the help of his funny old dad; who knows more than his son thought he did.
